CoverGirl Vitalist Healthy Glow Highlighter

Am I the only one who seems to be randomly grabbing drugstore products more often when walking the aisles of Walmart or Target? Drugstore brands are really stepping up their game! While I was never the biggest fan of some drugstore items/ brands, I have to admit I’ve bought more drugstore than highend recently. The higher-end and luxury brands are definitely being given a run for their money!

I had no idea CoverGirl had released these cream/ powder hybrid highlighters but I decided to grab one up at Walmart. These have a similar texture and formula to the Colour Pop Super Shock products. I admit I am extremely impressed with this item. I’m not sure what I was expecting but CoverGirl hit the nail on the head with this highlight! I’m not sure if you can tell in the picture, but I have made a huge dent in this guy! Its not often I love a product enough to really use it every day and have a visible dent after a month.

There are 6 different shades but I only picked up Candlelit. It seemed like the perfect shade for my slightly tanned skin. The highlight is definitely more on the subtle side but its gives the prettiest glow to the skin. You can top it with a powder highlight to kick it up a notch if you want a more blinding highlight.

I haven’t had an issue applying it over or under foundation. I also think it looks great if you’re just wearing a tinted moisturizer and want a little extra glow for healthy looking skin. I apply this using my fingers, but if you’re not a fan of using your fingers then a damp beauty sponge will work just as well! It also layers on top of setting powders nicely and doesn’t look cakey or ball up over it.

I definitely plan to pick up the shade Starlight, which is more of a light gold.

Have you tried any of the new CG Healthy Vitalist Glow Highlighters?
